An Allegheny County couple is thanking police for returning their stolen dog. The dog owners say they had taken their pup for a walk Tuesday night when a man came up and asked if he could pet the dog. They say, the next thing they knew, the man had unhooked the dog’s leash and ran off with her. Daphne the dog was gone with her whereabouts unknown until Wedneday morning. A Public Works crew found her wandering around inside of Blue Slide Park. A short time later, Police showed up at the couple’s door holding the dog. Police have not said if they know who took her.
