JP Sketchy Behavior: Chad Patterson 2/2/21

The latest ballpoint pen sketch shenanigans…completed as I checked out Chad Patterson’s weekly Tuesday evening live stream performance on Facebook. This night, Chad celebrated classic hits of the 1960s and 70s during his one-hour set, strumming and singing tunes from the Eagles, CCR, Van Morrison, the Beatles, Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show, Simon & Garfunkel, CSNY, Badfinger, Neil Young and more. He broke out a few you don’t often hear performed on local stages, such as Donovan’s “Mellow Yellow,” Percy Sledge’s “When A Man Loves A Woman,” Gerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street,” and his acoustic arrangement of Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog.” Chad sounded good on all of it, giving a steady and relaxed presentation that kept the online audience happy, and prompted me to put sketch pens to paper. Chad does his live stream every Tuesday evening beginning at 7 p.m., so if you need to unwind after work, school, or – in the case of this Tuesday, shoveling out from a snowstorm – give him a listen! And support him when he hits area live stages as well!
