The majority of drug charges that were facing an Altoona man have been dismissed. Magisterial District Judge Daniel DeAntonio ruled that now, just a single charge of possession with intent to deliver against 33-year-old Jerrell Smith should be forwarded to Blair County Court. The judge also forwarded several drug-trafficking charges against 32 year old Stephanie Weyandt of Altoona, including corrupt organization, dealing in proceeds of an unlawful activity, possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication device. Smith and Weyandt were inside a residence at 300 Spruce Ave. in October when the Blair County Drug Task Force, Altoona police and agents with the state Attorney General’s office conducted a search. Upon finding methamphetamine, crack cocaine and $2,000 in cash, police arrested both.
