While repairs continue at the Altoona Area Public Library’s facility, limited in-person services are now being offered at a temporary site in the Altoona Transportation Center, 1231 11th Avenue. Remember though, you need to call ahead at 814-232-7295 to schedule book browsing appointments. Items placed on hold can be picked up at the temporary location. A variety of high demand materials are available downtown including bestselling fiction and non-fiction, large-print, paperbacks, young adult books, and a limited selection of children’s materials.
