Derek Woods Band – “Say Yes”

For the first “Local Song of the Week” of New Year 2022, the spotlight goes to western PA favorites The Derek Woods Band and the latest single off their album “Picture Yourself.” The song, “Say Yes,” shows a slight retro 1960s pop feel with its infectious melody, plus flavorful saxophone accents from Joe Scheller. More music is coming from the Derek Woods Band camp, as another member of the group, guitarist Joshua Carns, has just issued his solo album called “Flamingo,” which can be obtained from his Bandcamp web page.
