A report by WJAC indicates that the State Senate Education Committee passed house bill 972 with a 7-4 vote this week to ban transgender athletes from competing on female sports teams. The bill would prohibit male athletes from crossing over into girls sports. Alexis Sneller of the Pa Family Institute says she is in favor of the bill because it is unfair for biological males to compete against females because they have an advantage. House bill 972 has already passed the house education committee and the state house. It now goes to the senate.
