A report by WTAJ indicates that 17 year old Michael Watson was given an 18-36 year sentence in prison for stabbing a nurse two years ago. The incident took place in Williamsburg when Watson attacked a nurse who was caring for his ailing grandfather on April 15, 2020 just before midnight. The victim sustained sever injuries, including a nearly severed off finger. Watson was only 15 at the time, but admitted to police he stabbed the woman and led them to the weapon he used. The prosecution asked for a 23 year minimum sentence, while the defense asked for a 6 year sentence. He will be on supervised probation when he is released from prison.
