Television news reports indicate that the storms, which made their way across the region for much of the afternoon caused widespread damage. In Bedford County, authorities have reported that trees and powerlines were seen leaning over onto the road near the Bedford County Fairgrounds. The roof of a local flower shop was reported to have been completely torn off and was caught in some powerlines. Police did report that there were no injuries caused by the storms, and cleanup crews were working to clean up some of the damage caused.
