A report by channel 6 indicates that the Central Cambria school district received some $2.4 million from the elementary and secondary school emergency fund. District superintendent Dr. Jason Moore said that his schools purchased new computers for both staff and students, and they were also able to add some support staff for teachers. The district also created a technology education program to go along with facilities upgrades, which did not use any of this particular funding. Moore said that the money was greatly appreciated and will enhance the learning experience and will pay dividends down the road.
