Television news reports indicate that the shelter was closed on Saturday after it was discovered that one of its dogs tested positive for Parvo, and that several other animals had been exposed. The announcement also contained information that because of a lack of staff, and the cleaning process the shelter will undergo, forced the closure. Animals inside the shelter will get constant vet care. The shelter will continue to accept stray animals, but there will be no animals leaving the shelter during this time. The shelter is asking for donations of old towels and bed sheets, along with paper towels, large black trash bags and large sprayers.
