According to a report in the Altoona Mirror, non union employees will be receiving a bonus. The reported bonuses will range from between $200 to $1000 on a one time only basis. This action follows similar action taken last month, when unionized workers received similar bonuses from the county. Yesterday vote was 3-1, with Commissioner Amy Webster voting against handing out bonus money. Webster said that the money should be used for infrastructure, which could benefit all citizens of Blair County. The money will come from $23.6 million of American Rescue Plan Act funds received by the county.
