Bedford State Police report that they were called out to a residence on Pierce Lane in Kimmel Twp. Back in early October. Troopers reported finding 2 horses that were locked up in a barn. 20 year old Katlyn Weyant told troopers she did not know when the last time the animals were looked at by a veteranarian. One of the horses apparently had and eye infection, and one suffered a miscarriage due to poor living conditions. Weyant was told to provide vet papers 2 weeks later, but failed to do so. She also had several dogs on the property that allegedly did not belong to her. And later on, 2 more horses were discovered inside the barn. Weyant is charged with felony cruelty to animals and animal neglect.
