Shooter to prison

According to WJAC, Timothy McClendon plead guilty to aggravated assault following a shooting incident. McClendon and the victim came together at the victim’s home on 6th avenue in February of 2020. The two began fighting over a woman, who claimed that McClendon has raped her the night before the confrontation according to police reports, and McClendon shot the victim in the neck. Blair county D.A. Pete weeks said McClendon was very cooperative during the entire investigation, and decided to plead to reduced charges. He was originally charged with attempted homicide. He will serve 2.5-5 years minus 1 day in prison.
