WTAJ reported that Blair County State Senator Judy Ward announced that $1.8 million is on its way for three projects. According to Senator Ward, $1 million will be used for a new indoor riding facility for the Dreams Go On Foundation, an entity that provides theraputic horseback riding for people with special disabilities. Also, Blair Twp was awarded $135,000 to replace some equipment. And the Degol industrial center in Frankstown Twp will get $750,000 to install rail lines. The grant money will come from the commonwealth financing authority.
