DNA from a vape pen has led to charges of arson against a Somerset County man. State police say 36-year-old Brent Troy from Berlin was identified by DNA after police recovered a vape pen near the scene of a fire that occurred two years ago at the K&D Auto Electric Shop in Somerset Township. Reportedly, surveillance footage showed two individuals enter the shop, and later run from it after a truck ignites. Troy was arraigned last week on charges that included felony reckless burning, arson, and risking catastrophe. He was freed on unsecure bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 15th. Police have not reported on whether the second person involved in this case has been identified or charged.
