Today is Tax Day and you have until midnight tonight to file your 2024 return. But if you are in a crunch, and haven’t started doing your taxes, you can file for an extension. The key thing to keep in mind is to file your extension today. To do so, you need to fill out form 4868 on IRS.gov, which gives you an automatic extension for six months.
