The Logan Township Police Department has a new chief. He is 40-year-old Devon Moran, who grew up in Logan Township, graduated from both Altoona High School and Penn State Altoona, having earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Moran, who has been with law enforcement in Centre County for the past 16 years, will succeed Dave Hoover who recently retired as chief. Yesterday, the Logan Township Supervisors approved his hire at a salary of $103,000.
