A woman found dead in the Little Juniata River Sunday evening has been identified as 63-year-old Nancy Weatherly of Tyrone. First responders were called to the Little Juniata River on Sunday night after a man reportedly saw a woman fall into the water. Weatherly’s body was reportedly pulled from the river near the Plummers Hollow Road Bridge just off Route 453, Birmingham Pike. The cause and manner of death is still under investigation. An autopsy is planned for today by Blair County Coroner Ray Benton. Tyrone Borough Police are continuing an investigation.
