Ten small dogs were found abandoned near a road and a dam in Somerset County earlier this week. Eight were rescued by state police, while animal response officials found two more—including one trapped in a beaver dam. All ten were taken to a rescue center in Bedford, cleaned, given medical care, and placed in foster homes. They won’t be available for adoption until they’re healthy and the investigation is finished. Authorities are still looking into how the dogs ended up there, and more updates are expected soon.
