Virginia Tech fans were introduced to their new head football coach. Former Penn State coach James Franklin held his first press conference in Blacksburg yesterday. Franklin said he’s already been in touch with 40 Virginia Tech recruits and plans to tour the state to speak with other top players. He said he accepted the head coaching job because it was a great fit for him, his family and the future of the Virginia Tech football program. He also thanked Penn State yesterday saying it was, “very unusual in college football to get 12 years at a place,” and he also highlighted the relationships he built there.
