A child accused of killing his father appeared in Perry County court yesterday. Eleven-year-old Clayton Dietz, whose story has gone national, is charged with homicide in the death of his father Douglas last month. Police said Clayton found a gun while looking for his Nintendo Switch in his father’s safe, then loaded it, and shot him while he was sleeping. Reportedly, the child was angry at his father for taking the switch away from him. The boy was reportedly in shackles and handcuffs for his court appearance, where he waived his preliminary hearing.
