Governor Josh Shapiro and the Pennsylvania State Police honored Corporal Timothy J. O’Connor Jr. and fallen troopers at a ceremony in Harrisburg yesterday, marking the 121st anniversary of the agency. During the event, which featured a tribute to 105 total fallen officers, Corporal O’Connor’s family was presented with the Pennsylvania State Police Cross. After serving 15 years with the Pennsylvania State Police, 40-year-old Corporal O’Connor was fatally shot on March 8th. A member of the 131st cadet class since September 2010, he was most recently assigned to the Troop J, Embreeville Station.
