Centre County has authorized a $10 million loan to expedite an $8 million expansion of the Public Safety Training Center in Pleasant Gap, a collaborative project with the Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology. The new facility will serve as a dual-purpose hub for regional emergency responder training, and CPI health science education. The county anticipates completion of the project at the end of next year.
