State Lawmaker Calling On Jtown Housing Authority Board To Resign

State Rep. Frank Burns is demanding the resignation of the entire Johnstown Housing Authority board, calling on city officials to replace them with members committed to shrinking the city’s, large public housing footprint.  Burns cites a “revolving door” of out-of-county residents, some from larger cities like Philadelphia, exploiting a voucher loophole, contributing to high crime rates, and straining local resources with 18 daily police calls to housing authority properties.
