JUNE 7 – Rumble & Scream: We will be joined in the studio by Jordan and Bethany Temchack plus Travis McCoy of area folk rock adventurers Rumble & Scream! We’ll learn about Rumble & Scream’s unique musical world which blends elements of folk, rock and ethnic eastern European influences. We’ll hear some recorded songs from them, plus they’ll bring instruments and play a song or two live for us!
JUNE 14 – New Music/Mark Rossi Tribute: We’ll start off this week’s program by introducing some new songs from the mailboxes during the first hour, and during the second hour we’ll celebrate the life and musical world of popular area singer, songwriter and keyboardist Mark Rossi, who passed away on May 22. We’ll spotlight some of Mark’s original songs plus his performances while with the U.S. Hotel House Band and his duo with Bill Hocherl, Native Sons! We’ll also include remembrances and thoughts from several esteemed area musicians who played alongside Mark!
JUNE 21– Father’s Day/Family Tradition Special: For Father’s Day, we’ll present this year’s Father’s Day Special!” We’ll spotlight area music scene dads…as well as moms, sons, daughters and family traditions on the area music scene! We’ll play back-to-back songs featuring fathers, mothers and their musical kids, as well as songs where two or more generations of the same musical family appear!
JUNE 28 –Back to the Mailboxes: We’ll continue to check the show’s mailboxes and hear from more new local and regional music recordings that have arrived recently! New songs will again be the focus of this week’s program!
