Altoona Man Arrested After Being Accused Of Child Sex Abuse

An Altoona man is behind bars following a months long police investigation into the creation of child sexual abuse material, and multiple allegations of sexual assault involving two underage victims.  Forty-six-year-old Levar Riley was arraigned yesterday on an extensive list of sexual abuse and trafficking charges.  He has been placed in the Blair County Prison where bail has been set at $250,000.  The Altoona Police Department reportedly launched an investigation on February 20^th of last year, after receiving three separate tips from ChildLine, Pennsylvania’s child abuse reporting hotline.  The tips alleged that Riley had been taking illicit, nude photographs of two juvenile females.  The investigation subsequently revealed that Riley allegedly photographed the two victims while they were in the shower.  Police further allege that he repeatedly raped one of the juveniles.  His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 29^th.
