An 84-year-old Bellefonte man faces multiple misdemeanor charges after police say he forcibly groped his wife’s on-duty caregiver and repeatedly offered her money for sexual acts. Joel Confer, was charged by Patton Township Police following an incident at his cabin, where investigators allege he continued to assault the victim after his initial requests were denied. Confer is currently free on bail. His preliminary hearing is slated for August 18th.
