Authorities in Butler County continue to investigate where a cow which caused traffic backups came from. State police were called to the scene on Wednesday morning as a cow somehow got onto I-79, causing backups between the Cranberry and Evan City exits in both directions for several hours. A man on horseback was eventually able to lasso the cow and remove it from the highway, but after checking with nearby farms have still not determined where the cow came from.
