Penn State is denying any wrongdoing in private equity funding. Athletic Director Pat Kraft told Yahoo Sports that deals with consulting firm “Elevate” did not include private investment. According to Kraft, Elevate is only the university’s partner in ticketing strategy and operations. The firm announced its College Investment Initiative earlier this week after private equity funding became a reality in the college sports world.
