General Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE ODDS OF WINNING. Eligibility and minimal age requirements vary depending on the nature of the contest. Subject to the specific contest rules; in general, all contestants must be at least 21 years old to be eligible for all contests affiliated with an alcoholic beverage manufacturer or distributor; all contestants must be at least 18 years old to be eligible to participate in contests that include hotel/motel accommodations, motor vehicles, boats, and/or air travel as prizes, and unless otherwise stated in the Official Contest Rules, no one under the age of thirteen (13) will be permitted to enter any contest. Lightner Communications Contests are open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia. If you are not a permanent resident of one of the 50 states or you are not the required age as of time of entry, you are not eligible to enter the Contest or to win a Prize. VOID IN ANY LOCATION WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Do not enter any contest if you are not located in the United States at the time of entry. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
Participant(s) can only win one contest prize (“Prize(s)”) per household every 30 days. For Prize(s) valued at over $150, only one Prize(s) per household every 90 days. For any Prize(s) over $600, only one Prize(s) per household every 180 days. If participation is by cellular, text or broadband all standard wireless carrier rates for the Participant(s) carrier will apply, and neither Lightner nor its Participating Radio Stations will assume any responsibility for any fees for any communication to or from the Participating Radio Stations. Winners of prizes totaling $600 or more are required by state and federal law to claim prize value on 1099 tax form.
Employees and immediate families of Lightner Communications, participating co-sponsors, prize suppliers or competitors are not eligible to win. No purchase necessary.
Mechanical duplication or alteration of any entry form or forms affiliated in anyway with Lightner Communications LLC is prohibited.
All winners subject to verification by use of proper identification (Divers license, state ID, or military card)
Contest participants offering incorrect contest/entry form information may be disqualified at Lightner Communications LLC’s discretion.
All winners, names, likeness and voice may be used on any Lightner Communications Stations’ for publicity purposes.
Lightner Communications Sponsors are not responsible for lost or misdirected entries or mail.
All entries become the property of Lightner Communications LLC.
Lightner Communications LLC reserves the right to substitute any prize not grantable for another prize of equal value.
Decisions of the judges at Lightner Communications LLC are final.
Lightner Communications LLC has the right to change rules for specific contests at any point in time, without written or verbal notice
Sponsor not responsible for any typographical or other error in printing the offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prize.
All prizes are non transferable unless otherwise specified.
Listeners are not allowed to resell items won on Lightner Communications .
Unless determined by Lightner Communications LLC, in its sole discretion, no cash equivalent amount will be awarded for any contest Prize(s). Each Prize(s) is expressly limited to the items announced by the Participating Radio Station(s), and does not include taxes gratuities or other potential Prize(s) related expenses. All Prize(s) will have a declared Value which is established by Lightner Communications LLC in its sole discretion. All Prize(s) are awarded “AS-Is” without any warranty of any kind and any such warranties are herein affirmatively disclaimed. Any Trip or Event Prize(s) are subject to trip carrier or venue operator rules and restrictions. If an event or trip is cancelled, Lightner Communications LLC, will not be responsible for that portion of the Prize(s). Acceptance of a trip or event by a winner constitutes an acceptance by them of the inherent risk of that Prize(s). The Winner assumes such risk completely and will indemnify and hold harmless Lightner Communications LLC for any resulting damages or claims related thereto.
Any person or persons found to be in violation of any Contest rules, gain an unfair advantage, win using fraudulent means or exhibit unsportsmanlike, disruptive, harassing offensive or threatening behavior before, during, or after the respective Contest will be disqualified and any Prize(s) will be forfeited.
All telephone calls to the Lightner Communications LLC Contest lines will be recorded and may be played back on the air for promotional purposes. By playing Contests you give Lightner Communications LLC the right to publicize your name, likeness and voice through any medium.
Except at Lightner Communications LLC sole discretion, Prize(s) will not be mailed out or delivered to winners. Any winner under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will be required to sign for the Prize(s).
Any Contest winner who during the course of a calendar year wins more than $600 in prizes in the aggregate from will receive an IRS Form 1099. Prize(s) may not be exchanged and have no cash value. Any questions or comments regarding the operation of the Contest must be made in writing to Participating Radio Station(s) Operations Director at the Studio Address. All Contest Rules are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Participating Radio Station(s) at their sole discretion. Lightner Communications retains the right to cancel this Contest for any reason at any time. A copy of the official rules governing this Contest as well as Lightner’s General Contest Rules are available at the Participating Studio. Copies of the rules can be requested by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Studio Address. Lightner Communications and its Radio Station(s) do not and shall not discriminate, in any way on the basis of race or gender, respecting their employment or advertising practices.
