This week’s edition of my “Local Song of the Week” spotlights a song that has been receiving frequent airplay on the “Homegrown Rocker” during the past several months – the title track from western PA music family patriarch Tim Woods’ latest album, “Vortex.” The song was inspired by a special experience Tim encountered while visiting Sedona, Arizona, and the energies and connection he felt with the earth while there. The song and video feature guest appearances from Tim’s sons, Derek (of the Derek Woods Band) and Ryan (of Habatat), who both contribute backing vocals.
