An Altoona man is dead after leaving a party, and now his death has been attributed to alcohol consumption and hypothermia. The body of 44 year old Charles Doyle was found in the backyard of a home in the 1900 block of Fifth Avenue around 8:30 Friday morning. Police say Doyle had been drinking in the house the night before. Investigators say when his body was discovered, he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, but no shoes or pants. Investigators say apparently, he decided to leave the party and go outside, when the temperature last Thursday was below freezing. Toxicology results remain pending which will determine how much alcohol was in Doyle’s system, and whether or not there were any other drugs in his system. Doyle didn’t live at the house where the party was held, and where his body was found. Altoona police are still investigating and so far, they are calling it a suspicious death. On Friday, police were talking to neighbors and searching for surveillance images.
