He was born Rasie Michael Bailey February 14, 1939 in Five Points, Alabama. He had seven Number One hits in the late 1970’s and early 80’s, such as “Lovin’ Up A Storm”, “Friends”, “Midnight Hauler and eight more top tens, including “I Ain’t Got No Business Doin’ Business Today.” He also wrote the Dickey Lee hit, “9,999,999 Tears.” He had been recovering from a November 2020 car accident.
