For this week’s “Local Song of the Week,” we spotlight a rising name on the central PA music scene, Bedford-based singer and songwriter Samantha Press. Samantha has been growing her fan base with her brand of personable and heartfelt acoustic music. She paints pictures and tells stories with her lyrics, and brings those words to life with her expressive voice. This song, “When Crickets Cry,” was inspired by Samantha’s memories of her childhood and growing up in a quiet hollow, where the music of nature would soothe and relax her. The video was created by Wallflower Wanderer, a not-for-profit arts project highlighting the talents of musicians and artists. Watch for Samantha on stages around the Q94 Classic Rock listening area!
