A report by WJAC indicates that a federal judge has cleared the way for a possible plea bargain agreement in the case of Julian Khater. He is accused of taking part in the riot at the capitol, and was charged with using a chemical spray against capitol police officers during the melee. Khater was arrested last march, and has been locked up since that arrest. He was a co-owner of a business in state college that had closed back in 2020. Both sides will appear before the judge next Monday for a conference to update the case.
