According to state police, troopers stopped 35 year old Michael Hummel of Mt. Union after he reportedly was involved in a hit and run accident back in January. Troopers say that Hummel was driving on rt. 22 near pike run drive, when he rear ended a car in front of him. Hummel fled the scene, and was caught a short time later in the passenger seat of his car. He told police he did not know what happened. His BAC was .25, more than 3 times the legal limit. Hummel is charged with DUI, accident resulting in damage, driving at an unsafe speed and failing to render aid and assistance.
