WTAJ reported that the governor is asking for $225 million to help small businesses across the state to get back on their feet after his covid lockdown helped send many businesses to the sidelines. One business owner said that the money would help pay the bills and get back to work. The governor said that the state has already helped some 10,000 businesses across pa. The money would be put into the small business assistance program which was created in 2020. Businesses would be eligible for grants up to $50,000 to help cover expenses. The $225 million would come from $2 billion that pa has from the American Rescue Plan.
