The Altoona Mirror reported that police tried to stop Ryan Harshaw on March 29th for his license plate light not being in working condition. He then made a lane shift without signaling, prompting police to try and pull him over. Harshaw then fled from officers and headed from Dunnings Highway to I -99 north. Several more police units joined the chase. Harshaw went in to Altoona and parked his vehicle in an alley, where police and found him and a female. The woman apparently told police they would find drugs in a backpack. The woman was caught with several prescription pills. Police say they found some heroin and fentanyl in the trunk of the car. Harshaw is charged with fleeing or eluding police and possession of a controlled substance.
