Northern Cambria fire chief Dave Hassen passed away last week in the line of duty. Chief Hassen joined the Hope Volunteer Fire Co back in 1969, and became chief in 2006. He remained chief until his death on Friday. Chief Hassen will be laid to rest on Wednesday in Northern Cambria. Services will be held beginning at 11am. Gov Wolf has ordered all flags across the state to fly at half staff to honor the life and service of chief Hassen. They will remain that way until sunset on Wednesday. The Governor is asking all Pennsylvanians to take part with the tribute.
