Postal customers should have received a post card announcing the annual food pickup drive conducted by the U.S. Postal Service. Each year, customers are asked to put out on their porches bags of canned goods, dry goods, non perishable foods and household items for pickup. Postal carriers will pick up those bags during their normal rounds this coming Saturday. In Altoona, the food will be distributed to 5 local food banks. This will be the fist time since the pandemic hit that the post office will conduct the food drive. Please be as generous as you can on Saturday.
