WTAJ reports that police arrested 24 year old Taivon Mitchell after he attacked a woman at a home on the 3000 block of 5th avenue yesterday. The report indicated that the victim was sleeping when she claims Mitchell woke her up when he began screaming at her. The victim said she tried to push Mitchell away, she he grabbed her by the throat and threatened to kill her. The woman told police she was able to free herself and grabbed a knife. Mitchell then destroyed 2 flat screen tv’s before leaving the scene. He is charged with felony strangulation, making terroristic threats, property damage and simple assault
