State police out of Bedford report that the crash occurred on Quaker Valley Road in East St. Clair Twp Thursday afternoon just after 3 pm. Troopers report that 46 year old Chadwick Ewald of Bedford was riding his bike along the highway when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, and crashed into a highway reflector. His bike continued on down an embankment and Ewald was thrown from the vehicle 40 yards. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other details were given. State police are investigating to determine what caused the accident.
