The Altoona Mirror reported over the weekend that as of last Friday, the race between Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dave McCormick was still too close to call, which leads to the fact that a total recount of all votes is likely to occur. Dr. Oz led by just under 1100 votes as of 5 pm Friday, where some 1.34 million votes had been counted. All 67 Pa counties have until tomorrow to report all of their vote counts. Then the top election official in the state has until next Thursday to order a recount, which could take up until June 8th to declare a winner. Now some are worried that a recount could lead to lawsuits, for unreadable ballots or ballots that have any kind of perceived irregularity.
