Geeseytown Lutheran Church held the vigil yesterday to remember the 19 children and two adults killed last week in the school shooting in Texas. Pastor Marty Jo Irvin Stellabotte said that the vigil was needed to make people aware that healing is what is needed now. The church also will hold a special freewill offering to benefit the Robb Elementary school. Pastor Richard Henry of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Markelsburg also presided at the vigil. Another vigil is scheduled for next Tuesday at the Newry Lutheran Church.
