For this week’s “Local Song of the Week,” the spotlight falls on Halestorm, and “The Steeple,” the first song released earlier this year from the group’s brand new album, “Back From the Dead.” The song is a song of solidarity and a testament to weathering the storm of COVID-19 and the anxieties it created for singer Lzzy Hale and her band, as they were suddenly separated from their livelihood of touring and entertaining audiences, and separated from their fans and each other. Many are calling “Back From the Dead” Halestorm’s strongest work to date. It will be reviewed in “The Professor’s CD Corner” during the June 5 edition of Q94 Classic Rock’s “Homegrown Rocker!”
