PA has no budget, missed mandated deadline

Reports coming from Harrisburg indicate that the Governor and the Legislature failed to come to a budget agreement. This means that the state cannot pay its bills, and also could impact social programs along with public schools waiting for word on how much funding they will receive for the upcoming school year. The secret behind closed door meetings have produced almost nothing in the way of any progress or information for the citizens of Pennsylvania. By law, the state is to have a signed budget in place by the end of June 30th every year. Gov. Wolf proposed a $42 billion budget back in February.
