Reports indicate that firefighters were summoned to a fire at the Central Pa Humane Society located on E. Pleasant Valley Blvd sometime Sunday. A faxed report indicates that flames spread through the facility’s sheds. Fire officials said that there were no human or animal injuries were reported, but humane society officials say that the facility did suffer some extensive damage and now needs the public’s help. Cages and other animal items were lost and need replacing. The society is asking for any donations. You can drop off donations in person or through Paypal. No word on what sparked the blaze, or how it began.
