State police report 515 people were arrested for DUI, and that some 24,000 traffic citations were issued. Troopers also reported that they investigated 649 vehicle crashes, with 4 fatalities and 170 injuries during the period from July 1-4. 52 of these accidents involved alcohol according to the state police report. In Blair County, a roving patrol conducted on Saturday netted 13 citations and 54 warnings for moving vehicle violations. 1 person was arrested on drug charges, and two others were taken into custody. In Bedford County, 1 person was arrested for DUI, and 52 traffic violations were handed out. 1 other person was arrested for a bench warrant.
