WTAJ reported that Contour Airlines CEO Matt Chaifetz visited the airport this week and said that new improved jet service is on the way. Chaifetz said that Contour will supply 30 passenger jets complete with full flight attendant service, lavatory service, complimentary snacks, drinks and a free bag check with most fares. Airport manager Tracy Plessinger said that Altoona-Blair County airport will connect with Philadelphia and hopefully Charlotte in the future. Plessinger said that Boutique Air has provided quality service, and they thanked them for their service. Contour officially takes over October 1st.
