A report out of Harrisburg for the Altoona Mirror says that $125 million in state monies will be going out to scholarship programs for low to middle income students attending private schools. The money will come in the form of tax credits for families. The program came under fire this year for not being completely transparent as to where these tax credits were going, and if they were making a difference in students grade performance. Gov Wolf said he wants more accountability from the program, and said republicans basically strong armed it into the budget.
